First let This Reader state that I felt a little at a lost with this book. Thou this might be the 1st of The Krewe of Hunters series, some of these characters come from an all other different series. So not having read the Harrison series I felt like I really didn't get to know these characters.
That being said...I did like the book. I enjoyed what some might call a history lesson (I happen to like history) in the first few chapters of the book but it gives a sense of cause for the storyline. The author has a way of luring you into the story and the scenery that makes you feel as if you were an invisible witness to what was happening.
What happens when you mix a little romance, add a few ghosts and throw in a few dead bodies? you have all the makings of a good read. This Reader is looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
